FAQ

Everything people ask before buying.

Is this just livestream recordings?

Yes. That is the point. You watch a senior engineer build, get stuck, debug and explain in real time, over 64 hours. No cuts, no scripted demos. If you want a polished 3-hour animated overview, this is not it.

Which Unity version is used?

The streams were recorded on Unity 2022 LTS (the current LTS at the time). Everything taught (components, prefabs, physics, UI, C# architecture, Cinemachine, builds) works the same in Unity 6. The few places where menus moved are called out in the lesson notes.

Is it outdated?

Unity fundamentals have not changed in a decade and the course is about fundamentals and how to think, not about the latest package. The job-hunting material in week 4 is timeless. Where AI tooling changes the workflow, the lesson notes say so.

What do I need to know before starting?

Nothing. Week 1 starts from installing Unity. Some prior programming helps in week 2, but the coding masterclass assumes you have never been taught how to structure code properly, because most people have not.

How long does it take to complete?

64 hours of video. Most people do it in 4 to 8 weeks alongside a job, following along and building the week 3 game themselves. The curriculum page has a progress tracker that lives in your browser.

What is the refund policy?

All sales are final. Because the full course is delivered immediately on purchase, no refunds are offered. Three free sessions are available on the samples page so you can see exactly what you are getting before buying.

How do I watch the videos?

On Gumroad, streamed in the browser on any device, with subtitles. You get lifetime access to the product page.

Can I pay with crypto?

Yes, BTC and XMR. See the pay with crypto page. It is manual: you send, you email the transaction id, you get a 100% discount code for Gumroad within a day.

Do I get a certificate?

The final stream covers the exam and project grading that was done live with the original cohort. There is no automated certificate. Your portfolio game is the certificate that hiring managers actually look at.

Is there source code?

Yes. Each module ships with the project files as a zip so you can diff your work against what was built on stream.

Is it 2D or 3D?

Mostly 2D, because 2D lets you learn the engine and C# without fighting a third axis and asset pipelines. Everything about components, physics, state machines and architecture carries over to 3D directly.

Will this get me a job?

It gets you employable: you will have built a complete game, understood how production code is structured and heard from someone who hires how the interview actually goes. The job itself is on you. Week 4 is entirely about that step.

Who is this not for?

People who want short edited lessons, people who want to make a AAA 3D open world in their first month, and people who cannot sit through someone debugging for twenty minutes. That debugging is where the learning happens.
